November 14, 2020: Thank you, Parker Chapel family for your year long contributions for another successful year of shoebox giving. Many children will learn about Jesus as a result of your efforts. Read below for more information about Samaritan’s Purse ministry. Special thanks to Kathleen Neve and Carol Rolfsen for spearheading one of Parker Chapel’s endeavors to reach the world with the Good News.

Let’s contribute year-round! Don’t forget to take advantage of good sales. Monthly, we will ask for specific items. Due to the COVID crisis, please hold your donations at home until further notice

2020.

For the month of July we are collecting small cars or trucks

Contact Carol Rolfsen for more information.

While we are experiencing the COVID 19 crisis, please consider homemade crafts for the Christmas boxes. Also, please start saving quarters for postage. A fun idea is to use a small m&ms candy tube. (You’ll get to replace the candy with quarters!) Two to four year olds typically receive the least in clothing and toys. Keep that in mind when you’re out shopping or planning. Also remember that what you purchase or make must fit into a shoebox.

The Amazing Journey of a Shoebox Gift Begins with You and Results in Evangelism, Discipleship, and Multiplication.

From children to seniors, people pack shoebox gifts each year to bless children in need around the world. Parents often use the project to teach their kids about giving. Year-round volunteers support these efforts across the country.

After sharing the story of the Good Samaritan, Jesus said “Go and do likewise.” That is the mission of Samaritan’s Purse—to follow the example of Christ by helping those in need and proclaiming the hope of the Gospel.

Mission Statement:
Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ.

“I want every child to know there is a God who loves them”. Franklin Graham, President of Samaritan’s Purse Ministry
