Operation Christmas Child
Let’s contribute year-round! Don’t forget to take advantage of good sales. Needed items will be announced. Bring your items in anytime and place them in the bin behind the pews. For the month of February we’re looking for washcloths. In January we collected bars of soap; it’s not too late! Check back here often for information updates.
It’s April! And while we are under quarantine, please consider homemade crafts for the Christmas boxes. Also, please start saving quarters for postage. A fun idea is to use a small m&ms candy tube. (You’ll get to replace the candy with quarters!) Donations can be placed in the large box in the back of the church. Two to four year olds typically receive the least in clothing and toys. Keep that in mind when you’re out shopping or planning. Also remember that what you purchase or make must fit into a shoebox.
The Amazing Journey of a Shoebox Gift Begins with You and Results in Evangelism, Discipleship, and Multiplication.
After sharing the story of the Good Samaritan, Jesus said “Go and do likewise.” That is the mission of Samaritan’s Purse—to follow the example of Christ by helping those in need and proclaiming the hope of the Gospel.
Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ.
